Top 13 Song Picks

“An intellectual snob is someone who can listen to the William Tell Overture and not think of The Lone Ranger.”

– Dan Rather

I guess my taste in music is a bit eclectic. I generally like anything that never aspired to the hip-hop charts, but my favorites have always been the weird and/or quirky songs.

Not Weird Al weird, but anything that stands out as different, unusual, or profound – or the painfully not so profound – usually catches a place on my playlist for awhile. And sometimes I just look for something with a driving beat.

Again, I’ll be going in alphabetical order [by title] since my favorites are subject to change with my mood.

1. A Day Without Me (U2)

2. Brown Eyed Girl (Everclear Version)

3. Closer To Fine (Indigo Girls)

4. End Of The Innocence (Don Henley)

5. Fire And Rain (James Taylor)

6. In Your Eyes (Peter Gabriel)

7. It’s The End Of The World [And I Feel Fine] (R.E.M.)

8. I Will Follow (U2)

9. King Of The Birds (R.E.M.)

10. People Are Strange (The Doors)

11. Thick As A Brick (Jethro Tull)

12. Werewolves Of London (Warren Zevon – Remixed with Kid Rock’s All Summer Long and Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Sweet Home Alabama)

13. Wild Boys (Duran Duran)
