i am a christian

November 2, 2007

i have been one for a long, long time.

i have tried to deny that

i have tried to travel other roads

but at the end of the day i pray to the same god i always prayed to

and in the morning it is that same god that i thank for the day i am experiencing

i am a christian

that fact, suddenly, has become very much inescapable

i don’t know that i am a very good christian

i don’t know that i think like a good christian

i don’t know that i act like a good christian

i don’t know that any of that matters

it is what it is

and i am what i am

should a chair call itself a swimming pool

that would not make the chair a swimming pool

it would only make the chair ridiculous

perhaps even pretentions

and certainly it would make it wrong

i am a christian

imagine that

i can’t decide if i’m amused or disgruntled that this means no one will ever again be able to claim that naked water is wrong about everything

One of my favorite lines by a Pagan author I found in Marion ZImmer Bradley’s Mists of Avalon …. in part it states “To every man his own truth and the God within” …..

Congratulations on embracing your path your God and your truth ….

    Blessings
