good, good. now – those of you who raised your hands – raise your hand again if you would like to see evolution taught alongside creationism in you churches.

    interesting… an unintended, genius aspect of democracy is that the state of the government will represent the state of the people. We needn’t impose any particular religion on our government. Whether or not our government is morally stable will reflect the moral stability of us, the people. So how are we doing?

    i would agree that our government makes a statement about us as a people, but our democracy is not pure enough by any stretch to create the direct correlation you are describing.

    and even if it were it would only reflect the majority (those who voted for these guys) not the whole of society
